This past Thursday the Union FBLA chapter had the privilige of visiting a local winery here in Union County--the Gilstrap Brother's Winery! Members had the privilege of listening to one of the owners, Warren Gilstrap, discuss some of the key points of running the winery, like marketing the wine, the regulations from the OLCC, the process of fermentation, and much more!
The members also got to hear about one of the newer products the winery is producing--Rescue Dog Red Wine. This is a wine named after a rescue dog that one of the winery owners picked up on a road trip after a carelss ownder abandonned the little puppy on the side of the road. Thankfuly the puppy, name Ky, now has a loving home at the winery and is also on the bottle of the new wine!
The Union FBLA chapter would like to send out a huge thank you to the Gilstrap Brothers for the amazing tour of their winery!
